Congratulations to Scratch Winner Connor Neil (Blairgowrie) for winning todays P&KCGU Champion of Champions with a simply superb 8 under par total of 136 (69, 67). Runner up was Ewan Farquharson with 144 (75, 69) and third place our “El Presidente” Norman Dyce with 151 (77, 74). Our 1st picture shows P&KCGU President Norman Dyce congratulate Connor Neil on his victory – a fantastic performance off the Blue Tees at Lansdwone.
This year we also introduced a Handicap version of the Champion of Champions to try and promote what P&KCGU do within golf in our area and to encourage more players from all ability levels to get involved. This proved to be a very popular event in its first year – albeit the 7007 yd Lansdowne course was a tough ask for our Handicap Champs.
However, playing Lansdowne for the very first time was no problem for Kinross player Stuart McBurney – who had an impressive 76 – 7 = Nett 69 and claimed victory over his playing partner and local player Douglas Wilson on nett 75 with Dunkeld & Birnam’s Denis Elleray 3rd with Nett 76. Our 2nd picture shows P&KCGU Secretary Alan Cargill congratulate Stuart on his impressive win.
