Following recent discussions with Connor Neil regarding his role as County Secretary, it has been agreed that he will now step down from the position with immediate effect.
I would like to personally place on record my sincere thanks to Connor for all of the hard work and dedication he has shown over the past few years. His achievements have been significant, particularly in securing sponsorship and modernising the way our county teams are organised and managed. Alongside this, he has undertaken the countless tasks that happen behind the scenes. Much of this work often goes unnoticed, but it requires a tremendous amount of effort and commitment.
All of this has been accomplished while continuing to play golf to a very high standard. I hope that stepping away from the role will give Connor more time to focus on his own game and allow him to reach the heights of which he is undoubtedly capable.
Having recently established his own business and relocated to Glasgow, I would also like to wish Connor and his family every success and happiness for the future.
Thank you, Connor, for everything you have done for the County.
