Following the Autumn Meeting, that brought our Scratch and Handicap Order of Merits for 2024 to a conclusion.
On a total of 113 points Connor Neil of Blairgowrie Golf Club has clinched the Scratch Order of Merit title in dominating fashion , aided by winning the Matchplay , Strokeplay , Summer Meeting and Innerpeffray titles across the season.
In second place County Legend Glenn Campbell of Blairgowrie finished on a total of 62, a result of winning the Spring Meeting at the North Inch and recording a number of top 10 finishes.
Closely behind Glenn in third place was Steven Park of Blairgowrie who finished on a total of 56, a result of winning the Champion of Champions and also recording a number of top 10 finishes.
In 4th place on 51 points is recent Autumn Meeting winner Ewan Farquharson of Blairgowrie and in 5th place on 46.5 points is Comrie Golf Club’s Callum McGuigan

In the Handicap Order of Merit it was Craig Brown of Blairgowrie who triumphed in the race to 1st place on 32 points, this being the result of a very consistent season where he finished 2nd in the Spring meeting and 5th in the Autumn Meeting.
It was a little spicier in the race for 2nd place where there was actually a tie on 30 points between 4 players: Summer Meeting winner Peter Russell (Dunkeld & Birnam) , Spring Meeting winner Gordon McLay (Auchterarder) , 1st place in the Handicap Strokeplay Championship Martin Strachan (Alyth) and Autumn Meeting winner Mike Lang (Dunkeld and Birnam)
In the end it came down to the best nett scores with Peter Russell (2nd) shooting a nett 67. Both Martin and Gordon recorded a nett 68 , however, Martin (3rd) was 2 under Alyth’s course par where Gordon (4th) was level to the North Inch’s course par. In 5th place by virtue of a nett score of 69 was Mike Lang (Dunkeld & Birnam).
