Yesterday at Auchterarder Golf Club we held our Strokeplay Championships, where 79 brave souls turned our to battle the blustery conditions!
Congratulations to Comrie’s Callum McGuigan who won the P&K Strokeplay Championship with a superb 1 under par total of 137 to win the title by 2 strokes from Blairgowrie Golf Club’s Ewan Farquharson on 139.

The 18 hole Handicap Strokeplay Championship was won by Brendan Murdoch of Blairgowrie Golf Club with a score of 70, with Auchterarder local Steven Courtney finishing in 2nd place on 72.

It was a podium full of Blairgowrie golfers in the Seniors Scratch Championship which was won by Frank McCarron of Blairgowrie with the low score of the day , 3 under par 66! In 2nd place was Tom McLevy , with a 71 on a better inward half from and Craig Hay who finished in 3rd.

The winner of the Seniors Handicap Matchplay was Muckhart Golf Clubs Neil MacDonald , who carded a nett score of 71, 2 shots ahead of Blairgowrie’s Iain Ross and John Ashworth, however, Iain pipping John on better inward half.
